I have such a fun recipe to share with you today – Double Chocolate Freckles! The recipe comes from my (The Australian) Women’s Weekly Cupcakes & Cookies cookbook. I love the recipes from all my Women’s Weekly cookbooks because they’re fun, reliable & triple tested. The dough is very easy to work with! Just spread some melted chocolate on your…
I wish I could say that I made the dessert in this lovely photo, but this is the photo that went with the recipe for Molded French Cream in Southern Living Magazine (April 1999). Yes, I am a bit of a magazine hoarder!! LOL! Mine looks so plain compared to theirs, but since there are…
Today I have an easy & yummy slice & bake cookie to share. I love slice & bake cookies because you can make the dough ahead and keep it in the freezer for whenever you get that cookie craving. Then you just slice what you need and bake! Today I tried to make my logs square instead…
As a Southern girl, I love my Cheese Straws! Those crispy cheesy nibbles that you find at all the ladies’ gatherings! But there’s another nibble that I adore, and it’s not savory but sweet, and it’s one of my teatime favorites – LEMON STRAWS! These delicious cookies contain both lemon juice and lemon zest, and I top mine with a…

Today I wanted to share my recipe for Rose Water Meringues. I made them for my daughter Abbie’s fifth birthday party, and had a request for the recipe. I’ve had great results with this recipe, and if I keep the baked meringues in an airtight container, they keep well for 5 days or more. Rose Water Meringues 2 egg whites, room temperature 100…

Thank you Nina!! They really do melt in your mouth!!
Do you think these would work using condensed milk in place of the cream?
Hi Tami! I think that milk would work. (I assume your referring to the unsweetened condensed milk) It just might give slightly different results because condensed milk isn't as thick as heavy cream and isn't as high in fat. Worth a try! Thanks!!
I would buy the cookbook!
Thanks so much Jennifer!! You and Michele will get the first 2 copies!! LOL!
You are the queen of baking Tina! Your cookies look delicious!
