Today at the bake shop, I made Lemon Financiers! These little French almond cakes are so delicious, and topped with a swirl of lemon curd, they are even better!! Financiers are very easy to bake and though they look alot like muffins, they taste totally different. The texture is also different. French Financiers are a bit chewy, but…
Today I made Lemon Maids of Honor Tarts. There are many variations of Maids of Honor – this one is an easy variation and I’m all for easy!! I adapted a recipe that I found in my book Country Tea Parties by Maggie Stuckey. These were so yummy! A Puff Pastry Shell filled with Lemon Curd and an almond filling topped with…
This week I tried my hand at Sugared Violets and used them to top my pretty Violet Macarons! It’s really easy to do – just brush some egg whites on your violets, then sprinkle them with superfine sugar and let dry. Just make sure that your Violets are the edible kind! The Macarons aren’t Violet…

Do you think these would work using condensed milk in place of the cream?
Hi Tami! I think that milk would work. (I assume your referring to the unsweetened condensed milk) It just might give slightly different results because condensed milk isn't as thick as heavy cream and isn't as high in fat. Worth a try! Thanks!!
I would buy the cookbook!
Thanks so much Jennifer!! You and Michele will get the first 2 copies!! LOL!
You are the queen of baking Tina! Your cookies look delicious!
