Carmelitas for a Crowd

If you’re looking for a yummy cookie recipe that you can whip up at a moment’s notice for a birthday, bake sale, or shower then look no further! I have an easy, pretty, Springtime cake mix cookie to share with you! Cake mix cookies are fast and convenient when you’re short on time! We’ve all…
Today I bring you some adorable mini cookies that I call Teacup Chocolate Chip Cookies. I saw the recipe here a couple of days ago and couldn’t wait to make them! I had so much response to my Fairy Bites that I thought I’d begin a mini cookies series! These are easy to make, but just a little more time consuming because…
I made Macarons this week from a new recipe but they didn’t turn out as pretty as I would have liked so I did the next best thing! Made them into Petits Fours! They were especially pretty because I had made them in two colors – red & pink. I made a Raspberry Buttercream filling using this recipe….
I am so excited to share with you today this recipe for Chocolate Crackle Cookies! The basic recipe comes from Martha Stewart, but instead of rolling the cookies in regular powdered sugar I rolled them in the colored powdered sugar that I made from Sparkling Sugar! I’ve been experimenting with colored powdered sugar this week and if you haven’t…
This week I tried my hand at Sugared Violets and used them to top my pretty Violet Macarons! It’s really easy to do – just brush some egg whites on your violets, then sprinkle them with superfine sugar and let dry. Just make sure that your Violets are the edible kind! The Macarons aren’t Violet…
Don’t you love biscotti?! I do too! I wanted to bake some for you, but I wanted them to be pretty! I used Martha Stewart’s Almond-Ginger Biscotti recipe, and just made a few changes. I substituted dried strawberries for the crystallized ginger, didn’t include lemon zest, and used my unbleached flour (King Arthur brand) instead of the all…

I missed your posts so much! Glad you came back with something great, as always 🙂
Lemon tea cookies look gorgeous and the first table is so elegant! 😀
Maybe I'll try the recipe after my exams… more or less next month :'( meanwhile, could you please tell me what is half and half? Thank you! Hope you'll give us soon other fantastic pins and recipes!
The tables are beautiful ~it must have been fun to go.
Thanks also for the recipe! They look delicious as always.

Thanks so much Laura, you're so sweet!! I've missed posting very much! Sometime's when life gets so hectic, my blog takes last place! I'm afraid I'm not so good at multi-tasking! I've got dozens of ideas for posts that I want to get to, so hopefully that will happen very soon!! Half and half is a light cream, not heavy cream or whipping cream. I think some countries call it single cream. Hope that helps! I appreciate your comments so much Laura!! I think next, I want to give your Amaretti recipe a try!! xoxo!!! Jina
It was a very lovely Tea Party! Everything was gorgeous and it was fun to help!! These bar cookies are wonderful!! I know that you are a very busy lady and I always appreciate your visits!! xo!! Jina
Oh, I understand, it's the same to me, when I have no time even for myself I do not post on my blog XD Thanks for the advice, you're so kind!! 😀
You always have the most delicious things on your blog. Love it all!!
Happy weekend,
Madelief x
Yay, you have posted another blog!! I love drooling over your gorgeous cooking and have missed it. Wow, what a tea party…..the tables are decorated beautifully and with such attention to detail. The peoople who went to it were very lucky!
Gorgeous table decorations thank you sharing.
Thank you for the delicious recipe! I am making this for a church function one day ahead (for 40 people). So how should I store the carmelitas until the next day? At room temperature, in the refrigerator, or freeze them? Thank you so much!
I would chill them in the freezer or refrigerator before cutting them into squares. They're much easier to cut if chilled. Then you can leave them out at room temperature until you need them. I know that everyone will love them!! Thank you!!
